Approaches to Learning

Using a multisensory approach to learning, our play-based curriculum offers a balance of developmentally appropriate activities.  We strive to foster kindness, curiosity, critical thinking skills, and creativity as the foundations for a lifelong love of learning.

At Kids in Discovery Preschool, your child will participate in both student-led and teacher-supported activities.  Hands-on experiential learning is practiced through art, music and movement, story time, open centers, dramatic play, and outdoor exploration.  Each week, the children participate in Special Moments with Pastor Adam, music and movement class, and library time.

We have a strong home-school relationship which encourages parent volunteerism, offers three performances each year, and has special family-focused events.  Kids in Discovery also partners with Discovery United Methodist Church and the community to help our children develop a sense of kindness and caring.
