SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL SKILLS

  • Engages in fantasy play.

 

VERBAL & LISTENING SKILLS

  • Listens to stories quietly.

  • Speaks clearly enough for strangers to understand.

  • Can say first name.

  • Asks and answers questions appropriately.

  • Speaks in 5 word sentences.

  • Can tell a story.

  • Recites rhymes and songs.

  • Waits for turn to speak in a group.

  • Expanding his/her vocabulary.

 

COGNITIVE SKILLS

  • Identifies primary colors.

  • Identifies secondary colors.

  • Identifies a circle, square, & triangle.

  • Counts to ten.

  • Recognizes first name when printed.

  • Identifies some letters of the alphabet.

  • Tells how things are alike & different.

 

FINE MOTOR SKILLS

  • Uses crayons with control.

  • Uses scissors with control.

  • Copies a circle.

  • Holds pencil or paintbrush using appropriate grip.

  • Works a puzzle of six pieces or more.

  • Puts on own coat.

 

GROSS MOTOR SKILLS

  • Throws & catches a ball.

  • Jumps in place.

  • Balances on one foot.

  • Hops on one foot.

  • Alternates feet on stairs.

  • Attempts to pedal a tricycle.

 

ART & MUSIC

  • Participates in art activities.

  • Uses materials properly.

  • Cleans up messes.

  • Participates in group singing & musical activities.

  • Learning to repeat rhythmic patterns.
